Disclosure We may earn a commission if you use our links. It never changes our ratings or the order of a list. Editorial policy
These are our reviews of the eight online casinos we list for players in Iceland, each checked on 8 October 2026 for whether it accepts Icelandic sign-ups, what its welcome offer and wagering really are, how card deposits in krónur work and how much you can withdraw. All eight are licensed in Anjouan (Comoros), none holds an Icelandic licence (Iceland issues none for online casinos), and all run euro-only accounts in English. We rank them on what matters to a player here, not on the size of the headline bonus.
Gambling is for adults aged 18 and over. Winnings from foreign commercial casinos are taxable income in Iceland.

The list order is not the same as the score order. We place the three Exceptiosoft brands with published operator details ahead of the Softon brands, whose operator was banned in Sweden in July 2026 and whose sites name no company. Wildzy sits second because it is the only casino whose Iceland settings and Iceland-zone offer we could both confirm.
What all eight have in common
Every casino here runs on one of two related platforms and shares one set of general terms, dated 2 July 2026. That means some facts apply to all of them:
- Licence: Anjouan, either Exceptiosoft LTD’s ALSI-202606020-FI1 or Softon Ltd’s ALSI-202409012-FI1. Neither is an EEA licence, and neither makes a casino lawful in Iceland.
- Iceland not restricted: clause 3.1.2 bars the USA, the UK, Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Austria, Australia, Cyprus, the Comoros and the Dutch West Indies, but not Iceland.
- Euro accounts, English interface: no casino offers krónur or Icelandic. Your bank converts every card deposit.
- Withdrawal limits: €100 minimum (13,700 kr.), €1,000 a day (137,000 kr.) and €10,000 a month (1,370,000 kr.) under clause 6.13.
- Identity checks: documents can be requested before the first withdrawal (clause 6.1).
- No free spins or no-deposit bonus: every welcome offer is a deposit match. Our pages on free spins and no-deposit bonuses explain the alternatives.
Which review should you read first?
You want the lightest wagering
Start with Trixino (7x), then Smash Casino, Kingdom Casino and Wildzy (all 10x). A 25x requirement on the same bonus means two and a half times the betting before you can withdraw, so the multiplier matters more than the headline amount. Our casino bonus guide shows the maths.
You want certainty about the Iceland offer
Choose Wildzy or Smash Casino. For both, we read the promotions page from Iceland’s group of countries on 8 October 2026; for the others we used an EU-zone connection because Icelandic connections were blocked by bot protection.
You bet on sport or play live tables
Wino Casino has a 300% sports package at 5x, and Slottio runs live-casino reloads on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Aphrodite and Trixino offer dedicated live-casino welcome packages. See also our live casino guide.
You deposit every week
Lucki Casino has slot reloads up to €2,500 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, the biggest regular offers in this group.
How we review casinos for Iceland
Each review follows the same checks. We confirm whether Iceland is accepted, using the terms’ restricted list and, where the site exposes it, the operator’s own country table. The welcome offer is read on a stated date, with every amount converted to krónur at the Central Bank of Iceland mid rate (137.0 kr. per euro on 8 October 2026). A worked example tests the wagering. The review also notes what the terms leave out (minimum deposit, maximum bet, expiry) and calculates how long the withdrawal caps would take to pay a large win. Licence numbers and dates are matched on the Anjouan register, and regulator decisions abroad are searched, since Iceland has no gambling regulator of its own. Finally, a second editor checks the legal and tax statements against the current law texts.
We do not invent test deposits or payout times. Where something was not verified, the review says so.
Paying from Iceland: the short version
All eight take Visa, Mastercard, Google Pay and Revolut; Wildzy and the four Softon brands also take Amex and crypto. None takes Aur, Netgíró, Pei or króna transfers. Because accounts are in euros, your card issuer converts each payment, and Landsbankinn, for example, adds 2.30% over the Visa wholesale rate (price list of 23 April 2026). Our euro casino guide and crypto casino guide go further.
Brands we review without recommending
Many Icelanders search for big names that are not on our list. We cover them factually, with no links to the operators, in our Coolbet review and Stake review, which point to the casinos above as alternatives.
The legal position in Iceland
Under lög um happdrætti nr. 38/2005, money games may only be run under special acts, and only six domestic bodies hold one, such as Íslensk getspá and Happdrætti Háskóla Íslands. None offers online casino games, so every online casino available to Icelanders is licensed abroad. The law targets running and promoting unlicensed games rather than playing them, and no player has been prosecuted. Winnings from foreign commercial casinos count as taxable income. Our Iceland gambling law guide quotes the relevant provisions, and the online casino guide for Iceland explains how to choose a site.
How we checked this page
Every review linked here was checked on 8 October 2026 against the operator’s promotions page and general terms (version dated 2 July 2026), the Anjouan licence register, the operators’ country settings and, where relevant, the Swedish regulator’s decisions. Krónur figures use the Central Bank of Iceland mid rate of 137.0 kr. per euro on 8 October 2026. Legal and tax points were checked against the law texts on althingi.is by Helga Björnsdóttir.
