Wino Casino Review for Iceland: Strong Sports Package, Heavy Slots Wagering

Market: Iceland
Disclosure We may earn a commission if you use our links. It never changes our ratings or the order of a list. Editorial policy
Wino Casino makes most sense for Icelanders who bet on sport as well as play slots: its sports welcome package (300% up to €3,000) carries only 5x wagering, while its 600% slots package worth up to €10,000 asks for 25x. Iceland is active in its settings, so you can join from here, in euros and in English. Two Swedish regulatory decisions involving the brand and a low outside safety score put it last of our eight, at 2.9 out of 5.
Wino is covered by Softon Ltd’s Anjouan licence, ALSI-202409012-FI1, according to the register. No online casino can be licensed in Iceland, so Wino is not. Icelandic players are not prosecuted for using foreign casinos, but their winnings are taxable income. You must be at least 18.

What works and what does not
What works
- A sports package with 5x wagering, the best value Wino has, for players who also bet on football or handball.
- Slot reloads three times a week, up to €1,500 (205,500 kr.) each.
- A €10,000 slots package for players who deposit large sums.
- Iceland is switched on in the operator’s settings; cards, wallets and crypto accepted.
What does not
- 25x wagering on the slots package.
- The full package costs about €10,750 in deposits for €10,000 of bonus, with a weak 50% fourth step.
- Two Swedish decisions involve Wino: a 2025 ban on wino.casino, later replaced by the July 2026 ban on Softon Ltd.
- Casino Guru’s Safety Index of 2.2 is the second-lowest on our list.
- No company or licence on the site; euro-only, English-only; €10,000 monthly cash-out cap.
Joining from Iceland
Wino’s pages contain the operator’s country table, and Iceland’s row is active, placed in zone 5 (non-EU European countries), with dial code +354 and no currency or language set. The account therefore opens in euros, with English menus. Wino advertises Australian and Canadian dollars elsewhere, but neither is offered to Iceland. The general terms, version of 2 July 2026, list the barred countries in clause 3.1.2 (the USA, the UK, Sweden, Germany, France and others), and Iceland is not one of them.
Before the first withdrawal the casino may ask for identity documents (clause 6.1), and it may refuse to pay out a deposit that was never wagered (clause 6.5). Register with exactly the name and address on your papers to avoid a mismatch at that stage.
The slots package, step by step
Our attempts to load Wino’s promotions page from Iceland’s zone on 8 October 2026 were blocked, so these are the figures shown that day to a visitor in the EU zone. Sister sites showed the same offer in both zones, but for Wino that is not confirmed and the offer can vary by country.
| Deposit | Match | Bonus cap | Deposit to reach the cap | Cap in krónur |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1st | 200% | €500 | €250 | 68,500 kr. |
| 2nd | 100% | €1,500 | €1,500 | 205,500 kr. |
| 3rd | 100% | €3,000 | €3,000 | 411,000 kr. |
| 4th | 50% | €2,000 | €4,000 | 274,000 kr. |
| 5th | 150% | €3,000 | €2,000 | 411,000 kr. |
Collecting the whole €10,000 means depositing about €10,750, roughly 1.47m kr. at the Central Bank of Iceland mid rate of 137.0 kr. per euro (8 October 2026). The fourth step needs €4,000 for €2,000 of bonus and is the one to skip.
How heavy is 25x?
Take the third step: deposit €3,000 (411,000 kr.) and receive €3,000. At 25x on the bonus, you must bet €75,000, about 10.3m kr., before the bonus becomes withdrawable cash. Even the small first step (€250 in, €500 bonus) needs €12,500 of bets, roughly 1.71m kr. If the multiplier applies to deposit plus bonus, double the third-step figure. The page shows only “Wager: 25x”, so ask support which applies. Our casino bonus guide explains how to judge whether a requirement is realistic.
Unless an offer says otherwise, the general terms cap winnings from a deposit bonus at 25 times the bonus (clause 7.10), and you can only have one bonus active at a time. There are no free spins in the package and no no-deposit bonus; see our no-deposit page for what to do instead.
The sports package: Wino’s best deal
Wino’s sports welcome package matches 300% up to €3,000 (411,000 kr.), reached with a €1,000 deposit (137,000 kr.), and needs only 5x wagering. On the bonus alone that is €15,000 of bets at minimum odds of 1.80, a fraction of what the slots package asks. If you follow the Premier League or Olís-deild, this is the reason to choose Wino over its sisters. You pick one welcome route before the first deposit, so decide first.
Weekly slot reloads
After the welcome phase, Wino runs slot reloads on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, each up to €1,500 (205,500 kr.). Their wagering was not shown next to the amounts when we checked, so read each reload’s conditions before you accept one.
Paying in with an Icelandic card
Visa, Mastercard and Amex cover most Icelandic cards, and Google Pay, Revolut, Giropay, Sofort and crypto complete the list. Aur, Netgíró, Pei and króna transfers are not available. Since Wino only takes euros, your card issuer converts the payment: Landsbankinn adds 2.30% over the Visa wholesale rate on foreign-currency card transactions (price list of 23 April 2026). A €1,000 deposit, 137,000 kr. at the mid rate, would cost about 3,150 kr. more. We did not check Arion banki’s or Íslandsbanki’s charges.
Paying from a euro balance in Revolut avoids converting at deposit time. Credit card users should check whether their bank books gambling as a cash advance. Crypto deposits are covered in our crypto casino guide, and currency costs in the euro casinos guide.
Withdrawal rules
Clause 6.13 sets a €100 (13,700 kr.) minimum per withdrawal, €1,000 (137,000 kr.) per day and €10,000 (1,370,000 kr.) per month. Winnings above €10,000 are spread over several months. The terms do not give processing times and we did not test a withdrawal. Given the low outside safety rating, withdraw winnings as you go rather than building a large balance.
Licence and regulatory history
The Anjouan register lists Softon Ltd (HE 463977, Kaimakli, Nicosia, Cyprus) as holder of ALSI-202409012-FI1, valid from 7 September 2024 to 6 September 2027, with wino.casino among its domains. Wino’s own site does not say so; its terms only state that “the Company is licensed”. In October 2026 the casino was served from wino75.casino.
Sweden’s regulator first banned the people behind wino.casino from targeting Sweden in September 2025. That decision was later lifted and replaced by the 9 July 2026 ban on Softon Ltd itself (case 26Si1361), which names Wino with nine sister brands. Australia’s media regulator has also formally warned Softon over two other brands. These decisions have no legal effect in Iceland, which has no gambling regulator or blocklist, but together with a Casino Guru Safety Index of 2.2 and nine complaints (October 2026) they are why Wino sits at the bottom of our list.
Casino games
Slots come from Play’n GO, Hacksaw, Relax Gaming, ELK, Quickspin, Habanero, Playtech, Microgaming, Novomatic, Blueprint and more, with Spribe for crash games, a live casino and a sportsbook in the same account. No game count is published. Our online slots guide covers RTP and volatility.
Gambling law and tax in Iceland
Under lög um happdrætti nr. 38/2005 money games may only be run under special acts, held by six domestic bodies, among them Íslensk getspá and HHÍ. None offers online casino games. The law punishes running or promoting unlicensed games, not playing them, and no player has been prosecuted. Winnings from commercial foreign casinos are taxable income. See our guide to Icelandic gambling law.
Verdict
Wino Casino is a reasonable choice for sports bettors in Iceland thanks to its 5x sports package, and its thrice-weekly slot reloads suit regular players. As a casino-first choice it is weaker: the slots package is expensive to unlock and hard to clear at 25x, and the brand has the most regulatory baggage on our list. Slots players will find lighter terms at Smash Casino or Trixino. All eight brands are compared in our reviews hub, and our online casino guide for Iceland explains the ranking.
How we checked this page
We read Wino’s promotions page from an EU-zone connection and its general terms (dated 2 July 2026) on 8 October 2026, after zone-5 fetches failed, and extracted Iceland’s row from the operator’s country table. We confirmed the licence on the Anjouan register, read both Spelinspektionen decisions involving the brand, and recorded the Casino Guru Safety Index in October 2026. Krónur amounts use the Central Bank of Iceland mid rate of 137.0 kr. per euro (8 October 2026), and the card premium comes from Landsbankinn’s 23 April 2026 price list. Helga Björnsdóttir checked the legal and tax statements. We did not deposit or withdraw real money.
