The best online casinos for players in Iceland, ranked on 8 October 2026, are Trixino, Wildzy, Lucki Casino, Slottio, Smash Casino, Kingdom Casino, Aphrodite Casino and Wino Casino, in that order. We ranked them on what you can actually get out of them as an Icelander: wagering you can clear, payment methods that work with Icelandic cards and Revolut, transparent withdrawal rules and the operator’s track record. All eight accept sign-ups from Iceland, run euro accounts in English and hold Anjouan licences; none has a licence in Iceland, because none exists.

Below the list you will find our category winners, a comparison of the numbers that separate good casino sites from average ones, the drawbacks we found for each brand, and how we built the ranking. You must be 18 or over to play. Help is free on 530-7600 (SÁÁ) and 1717 (Red Cross).

Best for sports bettors Wino Casino Sports package 300% up to €3,000 at 5x

Category winners are picked on published terms only. Where two casinos tie on paper, as Smash and Aphrodite do on their live packages, we name both and let the wagering on the rest of the account decide which suits you better. Smash’s 10x slots label gives it the edge for mixed players.

How the best casino sites compare on the numbers that matter

Headline amounts are the least useful figure on a casino banner. What decides your result is how much you have to bet before bonus money becomes cash. The table works the first deposit stage of each welcome package, assuming the multiple applies to the bonus only; if a casino applies it to deposit plus bonus, the turnover is higher.

Casino First deposit stage Wagering Deposit €50 (6,850 kr.): bonus / turnover Deposit €250 (34,250 kr.): bonus / turnover
Trixino 200% up to €500 7x €100 / €700 €500 / €3,500
Wildzy 200% up to €1,000 10x €100 / €1,000 €500 / €5,000
Lucki Casino 200% up to €500 25x €100 / €2,500 €500 / €12,500
Slottio 200% up to €500 25x €100 / €2,500 €500 / €12,500
Smash Casino 200% up to €500 10x €100 / €1,000 €500 / €5,000
Kingdom Casino 200% up to €500 10x €100 / €1,000 €500 / €5,000
Aphrodite Casino 200% up to €500 25x €100 / €2,500 €500 / €12,500
Wino Casino 200% up to €500 25x €100 / €2,500 €500 / €12,500

Read across a row and the ranking explains itself. With €50 at Trixino you need €700 of slot bets to release the bonus; the same deposit at a 25x casino asks for €2,500, more than three and a half times as much. At a typical slot RTP of 96%, the expected cost of €700 in bets is about €28, while €2,500 in bets costs about €100 on average, the whole bonus. That is why a modest package at low wagering beats a huge one at 25x for almost every player.

Wildzy is the exception on size: a deposit of €500 (68,500 kr.) unlocks a full €1,000 bonus at 10x. Beyond the first stage, the packages diverge, as the next table shows.

Casino Full slots package Deposits Total in krónur (137.0) Extra welcome packages
Trixino 777% up to €7,777 6 about 1.07m kr. Live 300% up to €1,750; sports 325% up to €1,500
Wildzy 600% up to €10,000 4 about 1.37m kr. None listed
Lucki Casino 450% up to €5,000 3 about 685,000 kr. None listed
Slottio 450% up to €3,500 3 about 480,000 kr. None listed
Smash Casino 600% up to €10,000 5 about 1.37m kr. Live 300% up to €2,250; sports 250% up to €5,000
Kingdom Casino 600% up to €9,500 4 about 1.3m kr. None listed
Aphrodite Casino 700% up to €7,000 5 about 959,000 kr. Live 300% up to €2,250; sports 100% up to €500
Wino Casino 600% up to €10,000 5 about 1.37m kr. Sports 300% up to €3,000

One detail many players miss: “600%” is the sum of the stage percentages (for Smash, 200 + 100 + 50 + 150 + 100), not a single 600% match on one deposit. To receive the full €10,000 at Smash you would need to deposit about €10,583 across five payments, roughly 1.45m kr., because the 50% stage alone needs €3,000 to reach its €1,500 cap. Treat package totals as a ceiling, not a promise.

Our ranking, with the drawbacks

1. Trixino: best overall

Strengths: the lowest wagering in the market we checked (7x on every slots stage), dedicated live and sports packages, and an operator name and licence number (Exceptiosoft LTD, ALSI-202606020-FI1) configured in its own site footer. Drawbacks: no crypto, no Amex, euro-only account, and the offer was seen from the EU zone rather than Iceland’s, so check the promotions page after sign-up.

2. Wildzy: biggest first deposit

Strengths: 200% up to €1,000 on the first deposit, 10x across all four stages, reloads three times a week of up to €1,000 each, and crypto and Amex in the cashier. Its offer is one of two we confirmed from Iceland’s own zone. Drawbacks: the site names no operator and no licence number, and its old domain, wildzy.io, was among the sites in Sweden’s 2025 ban on the previous operator, Rabocse SRL. That ruling covers Sweden, not Iceland.

3. Lucki Casino: best reloads

Strengths: slot reloads up to €2,500 each on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, a lobby listing 53 slot studios and 12 live providers, and the operator and licence named in the footer configuration. Drawbacks: 25x wagering on the welcome package, no crypto.

4. Slottio: best for live players

Strengths: weekly live-casino reloads on Wednesdays (100% up to €750) and Saturdays (100% up to €1,000). Drawbacks: the smallest package in the list (€3,500) at 25x, no crypto, and its former domain slottio.com was named in the same 2025 Swedish ruling as Wildzy’s.

5. Smash Casino: best verified package

Strengths: 600% up to €10,000 at 10x, seen by us from Iceland’s zone; live and sports packages; crypto. Drawbacks: Smash belongs to Softon Ltd, which Sweden’s regulator Spelinspektionen banned from offering games to Swedes on 9 July 2026, and Australia’s ACMA has issued an operator-level warning to Softon. Neither decision applies to Iceland, but they are the reason all four Softon brands rank below the Exceptiosoft four. The site does not print its operator or licence number; we found the licence, ALSI-202409012-FI1, in the Anjouan register.

6. Kingdom Casino: steady 10x

Strengths: 10x on all four stages, reloads three times a week and advertised 24/7 live chat. Drawbacks: Softon caveats as above; we read its promotions page through a zone-5 connection, but could not prove the page was geo-detected as Icelandic.

7. Aphrodite Casino: best live welcome package

Strengths: 300% up to €2,250 for live play and the highest combined percentage in the list (700%). Drawbacks: 25x on the slots package and the Softon caveats.

8. Wino Casino: best for sports

Strengths: a sports welcome package of 300% up to €3,000 at 5x and slot reloads up to €1,500 three times a week. Drawbacks: 25x on the casino package and the Softon caveats.

The best casino for your style of play

A ranking is an average. Your own best pick depends on how much you deposit, what you play and how often. These are the matches we would suggest to a friend in Reykjavík or Akureyri.

Small budget: €20 to €50 a month

Go for the lowest wagering, not the biggest package. Trixino’s first stage at 7x turns a €50 deposit (6,850 kr.) into €150 of balance with €700 of wagering, a target an ordinary slot session can realistically reach. Remember that the minimum withdrawal is €100 (13,700 kr.), so very small wins have to be built up before you can cash them out. If wagering feels like a chore, skip the bonus: you can usually decline it in the cashier and play with cash only, which you can withdraw at any time after one turnover of the deposit.

Regular player: a deposit most weeks

Reloads matter more than the welcome package once you have used it. Lucki pays slot reloads three days a week up to €2,500 each, and Wildzy and Kingdom run Monday, Wednesday and Friday reloads of up to €1,000 at 10x. Check the wagering on each reload before you accept, because reload terms can differ from the welcome offer.

High stakes

Look past the bonus to the withdrawal caps. All eight casinos pay out at most €1,000 (137,000 kr.) a day and €10,000 (1.37m kr.) a month. A €50,000 win would take at least five months to collect. If that is a deal-breaker, these casinos are not for you, whatever the package size.

Live tables

Slots usually count fully towards wagering; live games often count less or not at all. Take a live-specific package (Smash or Aphrodite, 300% up to €2,250; Trixino, 300% up to €1,750) or Slottio’s live reloads, rather than a slots bonus you cannot clear at the blackjack table.

Football and other sports

Wino’s sports package (300% up to €3,000) and Smash’s (250% up to €5,000) both carry a 5x label, and sports bonuses at these sites need odds of at least 1.80. Our betting sites guide compares the sportsbooks.

Crypto holders

Wildzy, Smash, Kingdom, Aphrodite and Wino take crypto. Wildzy pairs it with 10x wagering. Remember that using coins to gamble can be a taxable disposal, and that the account itself still runs in euros. More in our crypto casino guide.

Five checks before your first deposit

  1. Open the promotions page after you register and confirm the offer shown to your account. Offers can vary by country, and we saw five of the eight from a neighbouring zone.
  2. Ask live chat for the maximum bet while a bonus is active and whether wagering applies to the bonus or to deposit plus bonus. Neither is published.
  3. Set a deposit limit in your account settings.
  4. Upload your ID early, so your first withdrawal is not held up by KYC.
  5. Note the exchange rate your bank used on the deposit, so you know your real result in krónur and have a record for your tax return.

What every casino in this ranking has in common

The eight sites share one platform family and one set of general terms (last updated 2 July 2026), which makes several rules identical across the list:

  • Withdrawals: minimum €100 (13,700 kr.), maximum €1,000 (137,000 kr.) a day and €10,000 (1.37m kr.) a month.
  • Bonus winnings: a deposit bonus pays out at most 25 times the bonus amount, unless the offer states otherwise.
  • One active bonus at a time; sports bonuses need odds of at least 1.80.
  • Identity checks before the first withdrawal; a withdrawal can be refused if the deposit was not wagered at least once.
  • Euro accounts, English interface, no ISK and no Icelandic. Landsbankinn adds 2.30% to foreign-currency card payments.
  • No no-deposit bonus and no free spins in any welcome package.

Because the cash-out caps are identical, a big win is paid the same way everywhere: €1,000 a day, €10,000 a month. If you are aiming at jackpots, that matters more than the welcome bonus.

How we built this ranking

We started from the casinos we work with and kept only those that passed every check below. We may earn a commission when you join through our links; it does not change the offer you get, and it does not buy a place in the ranking. Two sister brands, Gambiva and Tenobet, were left out because Australia’s regulator named them in a formal warning, and a third, Rivo, because we could not reach its site to verify anything.

  1. Iceland access: Iceland absent from the restricted list in the terms and active in the operator’s country settings.
  2. Licence and regulator history: licence number checked in the Anjouan register; regulator actions in Sweden, Australia and elsewhere searched by operator name.
  3. Bonus value: wagering label first, then how much of a normal deposit unlocks bonus money, then reloads and side packages.
  4. Payments: Visa, Mastercard, Revolut and Google Pay as a minimum; crypto and Amex as a plus.
  5. Transparency: operator and licence shown on the site itself.

We will publish full reviews of each casino, with measured payout times, as they are completed. Until then this page shows only what the operators publish and what we could check.

The ranking is not fixed. We re-read every promotions page at least once a month and whenever a reader reports a change. A casino moves down if its wagering rises, if it adds Iceland to its restricted countries, if a regulator acts against its operator, or if readers report withdrawals that break the published rules. A brand drops off the list entirely if it stops accepting Icelandic sign-ups or if we can no longer reach its site to verify the offer. New casinos are only added after the same checks, never because a launch campaign is running. If you spot an offer on a casino’s site that differs from what we show here, write to [email protected] with a screenshot and the date, and we will check it and correct the page.

Most casino searches in Iceland are for brand names: bet365 alone is searched about 14,800 times a month, Coolbet about 6,600 and Betsson about 2,900. None of them holds an Icelandic licence. Coolbet’s ads led the media committee, fjölmiðlanefnd, to fine Sýn ISK 1m in 2022, and Stake operates under a Curaçao licence according to its own terms. We cover these brands factually, without links, in pages such as our Coolbet review and Stake review, and point readers to the casinos above as alternatives.

Before you pick a casino from this list

Every brand on this page is licensed abroad and has no licence in Iceland. The Lotteries Act no. 38/2005 allows money gambling only under special acts, and its article 11 restricts promotion of unlicensed gambling; players themselves are not prosecuted in practice. Winnings from these casinos are taxable income under article 7 A-4 of the Income Tax Act no. 90/2003. The exemption in article 30 covers only lotteries licensed in Iceland or elsewhere in the EEA or EFTA whose entire profit goes to cultural, humanitarian or church causes, and a commercial casino licensed in Anjouan meets neither condition. Our guide to Icelandic gambling law has the details, and the online casino Iceland overview explains the euro accounts and card payments.

See our responsible gambling page for tools and warning signs.

How we checked this page

On 8 October 2026 we read the promotions pages of all eight casinos (Smash and Wildzy from Iceland’s zone on the operator platform, Kingdom through a zone-5 connection without proof of geo-detection, the others from the EU zone), their shared general terms dated 2 July 2026, the cashier payment logos, and the Anjouan licence register. We searched Spelinspektionen’s decision list and ACMA’s April to June 2026 enforcement report for each operator. Turnover figures are our own arithmetic from the published wagering labels, and krónur use the Central Bank of Iceland mid rate of 137.0 per euro on 8 October 2026. Frequently asked questions

What is the best online casino for Icelandic players?

Trixino, on our checks of 8 October 2026. Its slots package pays 777% up to €7,777 (about 1.07m kr.) over six deposits and every stage carries a 7x wagering label, the lowest of the eight casinos we compared. Wildzy is the best pick for a large first deposit (200% up to €1,000 at 10x), and its offer was confirmed from Iceland’s own zone.

Which online casino has the lowest wagering?

Trixino, with 7x on each slots-package stage. Wildzy, Smash and Kingdom follow at 10x. Lucki, Slottio, Aphrodite and Wino label their welcome bonuses 25x. None of the eight publishes whether the multiple applies to the bonus alone or to deposit plus bonus.

Are the best online casinos licensed in Iceland?

No. Iceland has no online casino licence; only six domestic operators may run money games under special acts. Every casino in our ranking holds an Anjouan licence and has no licence in Iceland. Playing is not a criminal offence and players are not prosecuted in practice, but winnings are taxable income.

Which casino is best for live dealer games?

Smash and Aphrodite both offer a live-casino welcome package of 300% up to €2,250, and Trixino has one of 300% up to €1,750. For regular live players, Slottio’s weekly live reloads (100% up to €750 on Wednesdays and up to €1,000 on Saturdays) are the best ongoing offer.

Why aren’t bet365, Coolbet or Betsson in your ranking?

Our ranking only includes casinos we have checked in full and work with. Bigger brands that Icelanders search for are covered separately and factually, for example in our Coolbet and Stake pages, without links to them. None of them holds an Icelandic licence either.

How fast do these casinos pay out?

The operators do not publish payout times, so we do not quote any. The rules are published: a minimum withdrawal of €100 (13,700 kr.), at most €1,000 a day and €10,000 a month, and ID checks before your first payout.

Casino reviews, bonuses and games

Gunnar writes Iceland Casino's English casino reviews and bonus guides, and the pages on games such as slots and live casino. He starts every review with the casino's own terms rather than its promotion banner, and works out what a bonus costs to clear in euros and krónur before he calls it good value. He records the date he saw each offer, flags withdrawal caps and maximum-bet rules, and points out what a casino does not offer Icelandic players, such as ISK accounts. Every page he writes is checked by a second editor.
