Casumo in Iceland: Review & Alternatives (2026)
Does Casumo accept players from Iceland? No: what its terms and sign-up form show, who runs it, its Gibraltar licences and casinos that accept Iceland.
Market: Iceland
Disclosure We may earn a commission if you use our links. It never changes our ratings or the order of a list. Editorial policy
Casumo does not take players who live in Iceland. Its terms allow registration only from countries in the drop-down list on its sign-up form, and that list leaves Iceland out. Icelandic visitors can still open casumo.com, which shows them the international site run by Jocularis Limited under two Government of Gibraltar remote gaming licences (126 and 127), but they cannot open an account as Icelandic residents. It has no Icelandic licence either. We are not partners with Casumo, so there are no links to it here; the casinos further down are the ones we list for players in Iceland.
We checked its terms, its restricted-territory list and its sign-up form from an Icelandic connection on 9 October 2026.
Casumo at a glance
| Item | What Casumo publishes |
|---|---|
| Site shown to Icelandic visitors | casumo.com international site (Gibraltar market) |
| Operator | Jocularis Limited, Gibraltar company 121395, Suite 5B, Watergardens 1, Gibraltar |
| Licences | Government of Gibraltar: B2C Gaming Operator’s Licence 126 and B2C Bookmaker’s Licence 127, regulated by the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner |
| Iceland | Not accepted: Iceland is missing from the country-of-residence list at registration (clause 9.4 bars countries not in that list) |
| Restricted Territory list | Iceland is not named on it, but that list is “not exhaustive” |
| Icelandic licence | None |
| Products | Casino, live casino, sports betting |
| Language and currency | English for Iceland; no Icelandic version and no krónur |
Can you sign up to Casumo from Iceland?
No. Clause 9.4 of Casumo’s General Terms and Conditions says: “access and registration from countries that do not feature on the dropdown options available at registration stage, is strictly prohibited.” The terms on the Gibraltar site are marked version 1, last updated November 2021, and we read them on 9 October 2026.
So the sign-up form decides. We loaded Casumo’s registration page from an Icelandic connection and read the country settings built into it. The form starts from a list of supported countries that includes Iceland (IS), then removes a short list of codes, Iceland among them, before it builds the country-of-residence drop-down. Iceland is removed together with Luxembourg, Malta, San Marino and Kuwait, among others. An Icelandic resident therefore has no country to pick.
Two details can mislead. First, Iceland is not on Casumo’s separate Restricted Territory list, but that page says the list “is not exhaustive” and must be read with the contract, which is where clause 9.4 sits. Second, casumo.com still opens in Iceland and shows a welcome offer, which can look like an invitation. It is not: the operator’s own rules shut the door at registration.
What does that mean in practice? Do not try to get round it. Giving a false country or using a VPN breaks the terms: clause 6.1.4 lets Casumo close an account it believes is being used from, or linked to, a restricted territory, and clause 4.2 lets it block accounts opened with false or misleading information. Any balance could then be held up. If you want a casino that does take Icelandic players, use the list below.
For the Icelandic side of the question, our page on whether online gambling is legal in Iceland explains the law: no foreign operator holds an Icelandic licence, and players have not been prosecuted for playing abroad.
Who runs Casumo, and is it part of LeoVegas?
Casumo’s international site is run by Jocularis Limited, and the Government of Gibraltar’s list of approved brands names “Jocularis Limited (Casumo Group)” with Gaming Operators Licence RGL No. 126, Bookmakers Licence RGL No. 127 and the brand Casumo. The Malta Gaming Authority’s register still lists the original company, Casumo Services Limited, as “Licensed” under MGA/CRP/217/2012-05 with casumo.com as its domain.
Some sites say Casumo is now part of the LeoVegas Group or of MGM. We found no evidence of that. The MGA register lists LeoVegas Gaming plc’s domains as leovegas.com, expekt.com, royalpanda.com and gogocasino.com, with no Casumo domain, and the Gibraltar regulator’s sheet places Jocularis in the Casumo Group. Earlier notes naming a “Keep Limited” as Casumo’s licence holder did not match either register, so we do not repeat them. If you are interested in LeoVegas itself, which does take Icelandic sign-ups on its own terms, see our LeoVegas review.
Payments, limits and complaints at Casumo
For readers who live in a country Casumo serves, the main points from its terms are these:
- Account currency: shown on your account; deposits in another currency may be converted, with possible exchange costs (7.7). Krónur are not among Casumo’s account currencies in its sign-up settings.
- Withdrawals: methods and fees are listed on the site and “may differ depending on the player’s place of residence” (8.2).
- Complaints: Casumo aims to answer within 10 days, extendable by 10 more; then eCOGRA as the dispute service, and the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner for regulatory complaints (clause 13).
Responsible gaming tools
Casumo’s terms list deposit and spending limits, a Timeout of up to six months, and self-exclusion from six months to five years (clauses 5.2 and 5.4). Raising a limit takes 24 hours. These tools only help people with an account, which Icelandic residents cannot open. In Iceland there is no national self-exclusion register, so tools work site by site. Our responsible gambling guide covers what to set up at any casino you do join.
Casumo in Iceland: news and media
A search of fjölmiðlanefnd’s published decisions on 9 October 2026 found none naming Casumo.
Tax if you play abroad
Should you play at Casumo while living in a country it serves and later return to Iceland, Icelandic tax rules apply to residents. Winnings from bets and games are taxable income under lög 90/2003, 7. gr. A-liður 4. tölul. The exemptions cover the six Icelandic special-act operators and lotteries licensed in Iceland or elsewhere in the EEA whose whole profit goes to good causes (30. gr.). Commercial casinos meet neither condition, so declare such winnings to Skatturinn.
Casumo compared with the casinos we list
| Point | Casumo | Casinos in our list |
|---|---|---|
| Accepts Icelandic residents | No (not in the sign-up country list) | Yes, all sign-ups from Iceland accepted |
| Licence | Gibraltar (RGL 126 and 127) | Anjouan (Comoros); none licensed in Iceland |
| Currency | No ISK | Euro accounts only, no ISK |
| Welcome offers | Not available to Icelandic residents | Multi-deposit match packages, 7x to 25x wagering |
| Withdrawals | Methods and fees vary by country | Minimum €100 (13,700 kr.), at most €1,000 a day and €10,000 a month |
| Icelandic language | No | No; English interface |
Casumo’s Gibraltar licence is a stronger regulatory story than Anjouan, but that matters little when it will not open an account for you. The casinos we list do, with low wagering (7x on Trixino‘s slots package, 10x at Wildzy) and a €1,000-a-day withdrawal cap to weigh.

How we checked this page
On 9 October 2026 we opened casumo.com from an Icelandic connection (it served the Gibraltar-licensed international site), read the General Terms and Conditions (version 1, last updated November 2021; clauses 2, 3.7, 4, 5, 6.1.4, 7.7, 8, 9.4 and 13) and the Restricted Territory list, and read the country settings in the code of the registration form. We checked the Government of Gibraltar’s approved-brands sheet for Jocularis Limited and the Malta Gaming Authority register entries for Casumo Services Limited and LeoVegas Gaming plc, and searched fjölmiðlanefnd’s decisions. Gunnar Sigurðsson wrote the page and Helga Björnsdóttir checked the legal and tax points. We have no commercial relationship with Casumo.
Frequently asked questions
Does Casumo accept players from Iceland?
No. Clause 9.4 of Casumo’s terms bars registration from countries not in the sign-up drop-down, and the country-of-residence list on its registration form leaves Iceland out (checked 9 October 2026).
Why can I open casumo.com in Iceland if I cannot sign up?
The site loads for Icelandic visitors and shows the Gibraltar-licensed international version, but registration is limited to the countries in its sign-up list, and Iceland is not one of them.
Can I use a VPN to join Casumo from Iceland?
No. It breaks Casumo’s terms, which let it close accounts linked to restricted territories or opened with false information, and your balance could be held. Choose a casino that accepts Icelandic players instead.
Who runs Casumo?
The international site is run by Jocularis Limited, Gibraltar, under Government of Gibraltar licences 126 and 127. The Malta company Casumo Services Limited holds MGA licence MGA/CRP/217/2012-05.
Is Casumo owned by LeoVegas or MGM?
We found no evidence of that. Gibraltar’s approved-brands sheet places Jocularis Limited in the Casumo Group, and LeoVegas Gaming plc’s MGA register entry lists no Casumo domain.
Which casinos accept Icelandic players instead?
The casinos in our toplist on this page accept sign-ups from Iceland, run in euros and have English terms. None of them, like Casumo, holds an Icelandic licence.
